Tool Designing & Building
Our in-house tool design and tool build capabilities give us the flexibility to move quickly on a project and control the quality.
Our cold header machines require multiple dies to form and extrude parts progressively.
In our tool room we have EDM machines and polishing equipment to get the best results needed for tooling.
Cold Forming
If it is a challenging component that you are designing, let Brunner Manufacturing be the company you partner with. We can cold-form splines, 12 points and other special configurations on our progressive headers and high-speed Formax equipment.
Thread Forming
Our thread forming capabilities are up to 1 3/8 inch or M36. Whether it is a small diameter part or long part, we have the roll forming machines to handle the work. For high volume fasteners, we have automatic high speed flat rollers. For large precision parts, we have hand feed cylindrical rollers.
Advantages of roll forming threads versus cutting threads include:
High speed rapid production – (50 parts per minute up to 300 parts per minute).
The cold worked thread is 20% harder than a cut thread
No wasted material from machining
Increase in fatigue resistance
Increase in wear resistance

Drilling
Drilling parts is where the Brunner brand started. Our capabilities and capacity to drill parts are the best in the industry.
Our drilling capacity is backed up with 22 high production cross drilling machines and 11 vertical machining centers

Our center-less grinding and drilling technologies have reliable robot automation features installed.

Brunner Manufacturing has mastered a process that yields strong, durable forgings made from aluminum. Our current manufacturing capabilities allow us to forge parts from over 2-inch diameter aluminum. The forging, heading and extrusion process eliminates machined chips.
Advantages of Cold forged Aluminum versus Casting include:

Greater material strength due to the total absence of porosity
