Cam-Safe® is a complete grounding connection system comprising a unique and intelligent installation tool and studs and nuts in sizes M6, M8 and M10 diameters. Cam-Safe is a complete system providing secure connections in safety critical applications such as rail, wind and agriculture.

The Cam-Safe installation tool offers four different tool configurations to adapt best to any work environment:

1. Installation data is generated and stored for every single installation depending on how the installation tool has been configured.

2. For advanced quality management, by scanning the barcode with the installation tool, this ensures the right installation parameters for each single installation.

3. The Cam-Safe® system provides two different software options to control the installation process

4. Can integrate with ERP systems via Wi-Fi.

    The Cam-Safe® Grounding Connection System has a range of supporting elements including a drill, gauge and tool balancer.

    Drill:

    If manual hole preparation is required, it is recommended to use specially developed drills to achieve good quality results with the required hole definition in Aluminum, Steel or Corrosion Resistant Steels. Depending on the material specification and material thickness, it is recommended to pre-drill an index hole.

    Limit Plug Gauge:

    With the Camloc Cam-Safe limit plug gauge you can easily check the hole preparations according to the respective product specifications.

    Tool Balancer:

    • Tools can be hung up effortlessly

    The Camloc Cam-Safe® Grounding Connection Installation Tool is equipped with an easy to use, superior OLED display. The display provides a visual confirmation of process steps including barcode reader, automatic product recognition and verification of correct installations.

    INSTALLATION PROCESS

    The Installation Tool has been especially adapted to install Grounding Studs and Nuts quickly and effectively. It is a very simple process with no special skills required.

    Installation Process:

    Step One:     Screw the Camloc Cam-Safe Grounding Connector into the nose piece of the tool a few turns by hand.

    Step Two: Hold the Camloc Cam-Safe Grounding Connector by hand and press the starter button until the Connector sits at the nose piece without gap.

    Step Three: Insert the contact ring of the Camloc Cam-Safe Grounding Connector into the prepared hole and then press the starter button again.

    Step Four: Grounding Connector is installed and spindled out automatically.

    As part of the Camloc® Cam-Safe® Grounding Connection System, Camloc® offers a unique and effective repair
    solution to ensure that every Camloc® Cam-Safe® Grounding Connection reaches optimal joint integrity at production
    and at any subsequent point of repair / maintenance.



    The repair solution can be used in situations when a) the installation is not implemented correctly (confirmed
    by visual confirmation or not-OK signal) or b) the fastener needs to be removed for repair work / maintenance
    purposes.
